I have successfully transferred my PayPal funds into my Citibank Visa credit card. The whole process took about 4 days to complete and it’s a good thing considering that PayPal estimated the whole process would take about 5 to 7 days to clear.

On Tuesday, I made a request to withdraw USD371.00 from my PayPal account to my Citibank Visa. Note that the credit card that I’m using is already verified by PayPal.



I don’t know how long it would take a non verified credit card to process but you still can withdraw using one. One more thing to remember, your credit card would offset any outstanding balance that you owed them with the funds that are going in.

Yesterday PayPal completed the process from their side and all I have to do is to wait for Citibank to credit the funds in. I thought it was going to be next week. But then again…

Today when I went in Citibank Online, I was greeted by the funds credited in my credit card accounts. They credited in RM1262.99 from the USD371.00 that I have transfer. That’s about the same exchange rate that the current rate the market is using.

PS: I don’t know yet what I should do with extra funds in hand. I had always wanted an iPod. That’s the main reason why I did paid reviews. The iPod touch is here, maybe I should get one…

From PayPal side, my withdrawal request has been completed. It took PayPal about 3 days to process the transfer to my verified credit card.



I then went to Citibank Online to confirm whether the funds where in or not. As of 9:24am this morning, there is yet any indication of the transfer. Maybe it will take a while for Citibank Malaysia to process the transfer.

I've been using Windows Vista for almost 4 month now. It was somewhat fun in the beginning but now I'm bored. Besides the eye candy, there's nothing much I can say about it. You feel like it lacks something. Maybe it's just me and my high expectations or maybe not. Here are some bad and good things about Vista from my personal experience.


The Bad

1. There is no progress indicator when you defrag your hardisk. You are left guessing and at the end of the day, you would just cancel the whole process because you feel stupid.

2. Whenever your transfer files, it automatically try to calculate how long the transfer time is and it takes more time in doing so.

3. The extra bucks you pay for the “Ultimate” version will ultimately go down the drain because you only get 1 extra game, a few nice language pack, security whatever and the ability to use video clips as your wallpaper. The later slows down your PC. I know this because I was duped in buying this version.

4. Lots and lots of free security patches from Microsoft that it has become a routine for me to let the computer update itself before I use it. That's about 10 to 15 minutes of my life.

5. Forget about using ReadyBoost. It only improve you system a “little bit” and the protruding USB stick is a hazard for children and also grown man.

6. You maybe have to buy a new computer in order to use Vista.

7. Windows Vista Service Pack 1 release is taking a long time.

8. I forgot what DirectX 10 was supposed to do…

9. Drivers, drivers and drivers…



The Good

1. Aero user interface look stunning.

2. Windows Vista Flip 3D.

3. The new icons. I like it when you can resize it to giant size icons and see a preview of what's inside.

4. Internet Explorer is simpler and I can open new tab just like Firefox.

5. It feels like Windows XP Professional a bit…if that is a good thing.

6. I still can use some old software and games. Example: EA Sports Football Manager 2002

7. Windows DVD burning…at last.


I just wish that SP1 can erase/improve those small annoying things in Vista…hopefully. I heard some rumors about a new operating system from Microsoft called Windows Seven (Windows 7)…

I have two computers at home. The first one is connected to the Internet using a modem provided with Streamyx while the other one is mainly for playing games only. Because of the nature of the modem provided with Streamyx (1 connection port only), I can't connect both computers on the Internet at the same time. It's kind of frustrating indeed when I wanted to connect both computers on Streamyx.

Now here is the best part…I got a hold of a pair of Wireless USB and wanted to try to connect both computers to share the Internet excess. I don't know whether it's possible or not. So far I manage to set the network to share folder but other then that…nada. No Internet connection at all. Can anyone help me? I surf the Internet for information and found out that I need a wireless modem. Is this true?

PS: Can an ape set an Internet wireless connection? I doubt so…

Do we really need a new computer operating system? Is Windows Vista going to make a lot of differences in our daily routine? If it isn’t broken, why replace it? I won’t argue about the cool interface but other then that what else can we expect if we choose to migrate to Vista? For a price that exceeds well beyond the 1K range, Windows Vista “Ultimate” would be the most expensive operating system by Microsoft to date. Is it worth all the effort and money?

First of all you will need to add your memory in order to run Vista. You will also need a graphic card that supports DX9 and above. If you have the *money*, you can opt for a DX10 graphic card instead. Vista was actually intended to use DX10 but it has been slow in development. What this means is that you will not only part your money for a new copy of Vista, but also with the new hardware that you need to accommodate Vista requirement. This is good for hardware developer but it’s just another push for us to ditch our old computer.

For me I won’t jump into uncertainty without any assurance. It’s a wait and see game for most of us who are patient enough to wait. For those who are brave enough to venture, it going to be a bumpy road ahead. Windows XP transition from Windows 98 was enough headaches for me to handle. We just have to wait to know whether this expensive piece of software is worth for its price.

I have been waiting this for a long time already. This is my *excuse* to get myself a new *handphone*. I’ve dreamed about owning an Apple iPod before but I was held back by its lack of functionality. Who wants to spend more then 1K for a simple mp3/mp4 player when the market is flooded by more exuberant players? Now if the price is right (I hope so), I can join the Apple family soon…


Rumors about its existence have been circulating in the Internet for a year now. Now that the iPhone have made its grand entrance to the handphone (smartphone is more appropriate) segment, Nokia and the other gang should be trembling already. Will Apple succeed? PS: I wish the retailer here in Malaysia wouldn’t increase the price just like what they did for the iPod…don’t be greedy lah…can anyone guess how much the price is?

The other day I open my e-mail account to see my e-mails. I know, I've been busied last month but I wasn't expecting so many e-mails inside my inbox. To add to my frustration, I lot of the unknown e-mail are imaged spam. Last time I manage to control the amount of non image spam e-mail by using the built-in spam blocker provided by my e-mail account. However that was last time.

The introductions of image spam have again added the quantity of useless data inside my inbox. Further more the size of such spam are humongous. Imagine if you are using you're the old hotmail account…headache…

There is actually a way to stop image spam. If you are interested, you can search it on the Internet. Good luck!

I manage to install Opera Mini in my lousy Nokia 3220 handphone. Now I can post my ape rants from my handphone…yup! Anyway it’s to slow for my liking. But still nice considering that I can keep blogging while I'm away from home. I'm going back to my hometown soon.

The office Internet line went down, actually part of it only. It started during lunchtime when I wanted to surf the Internet. The Google search engine is still there but I can't go past beyond that. It either loads very slow or totally inaccessible. The funny thing is I still can surf into unfamiliar website. What's happening actually?

Maybe it's the IT department playing god again. I know they can see what we do online. It must be them alright. They got nothing better to do then snoop inside people's computer in the office. Maybe they can read this post through the server. Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year noobs... Just don't go snooping around too much ok.

PS: I will upload this post when they finish with whatever their doing...

Update: PPS was accessible and I saw a lot of people complaining about slow Internet connection. Found out that the earthquake that hit Taiwan had somehow screw our international Internet lines. You can read it here

I have been having this urge to buy a new computer. The one that I'm using now is somewhat old already. I thought of either getting a Dell desktop computer or an Acer laptop. All this depends on my small budget of course. I really don't need a supercomputer; my interest in playing computer game has worn-out. It's only for surfing the and “downloading” stuff…he he he

To this day, one tiny thing has been holding me from doing so, Vista. You know…the replacement for Windows XP. They promise to launch it in the middle of this year, but do to some technical problem it was postponed until early next year. Microsoft main argument was that some hardware still can't fully support the operating system.

True enough there wasn't any graphic card that can support DX10 during that time. Apparently Window Vista needed DX10 for its fancy "Aero" effect in desktop. Now Nvidia have rolled out its DX10 graphic card the 8800 Series. Microsoft better not gives any excuses to delay their Vista anymore.

I heard about Core 2 Duo processor from Intel but it's too expensive. Can anyone tell me the next best thing after Core 2 Duo?

Since Intel came up with Core 2 Duo, AMD have been trying to regain some position in the CPU performance chart. But this is way beyond conventional. Ladies and gentlemen, here it is: the 4x4 Quad FX platform, with dual-socket Direct Connect architecture for enthusiasts. Slap in two dual core processor and you get 4 core. Logically it beats Intel Core 2 Duo (2 core only) but the thing is, Intel already came up with a quad core processor...To late AMD (Tomshardware)

As you can see, I'm beginning to slow down (lazy again) on my writing here. I will try to do something else instead. Maybe some pictures and video I guest. Writing is fun actually considering that I suck in English when I was in school. But I'm trying to polish my artistic and creativity side (my lazy excuse). That's why you'll be seeing a lot of pictures here.

Anyway there have been some problems (again) with Beta that made me think twice before posting anything. I'll let you know what the problem is when I have time to look into it. To be on the safe side, I'm already backing up some of my blog post incase something really awful happen...

Some say it is easy...Some say it might be hard...Can bloging earn you something? I'll guest I will be looking into it soon then I expected. I know last time I said that I won't be trying to make money here. Shame on me...

It turns out that a lot of other rss feed are going crazy, it's not just me. Hopefully it will be dealt with soon. For the time being I'm still blogging, well actually only within my computer's hardisk. Have to wait a little bit more for things to clear out.

I think that I should update my blog's look. Whenever I look at it I feel down. I hate that, it doesn't help if your blog looks are making you sick. No wonder I've feeling week nowadays. I think it's the color...Greenish puke colors...Yuck! Why did I choose it in the first place? Hmm...Maybe because of the "pull" thing...Yup!...I'm a sucker alright...Going for fancy-fancy things when simple is more..."Art is about taking out the unnecessary..."did you know who said that?

I should be going now...It's about time to go back...The traffic jams here in Penang have become such a nuisance since QueensBay Mall open its door on the 1st December. I went there on the 2nd...Maybe I'll let you know about it tomorrow...Bye

PS: Don't ever forget to bring a large bottle especially during heavy traffic jam. I would be useful, believe me...

Somehow I messed up something when migrating to Blogger Beta. Every time when I publish a new post using Beta, my rss feed would do something crazy. The first thing that I notice was the double rss feed for 1 post. One with the correct time post and the other with a false one. The other thing I notice was my rss feed wasn't showing a clear feed...Some of the feed are in html language...Bugger!

Because of this complication, I would be turning off my rss feed for a while. It doesn't matter much because only a handful of you there who read my blog regularly...If there's any...*Sigh* Anyway I would continue posting here...If not I would save my post and publish it when everything comes back to normal...Sorry for the inconvenience...

PS: I read somewhere that when you stop blogging for a long time you Google Search rank would go tumbling down...

I change my normal Blogger account into Blogger Beta today. I've been itching to try out the new function inside Beta especially the drag and drop function. I have been holding onto the old Blogger account because, when you migrate to Beta there is no turning back...*blink-blink* you know what I mean don't you...

Anyway the drag and drop function was there but it wasn't fully developed. It's fun to use but after a while you're left wanting more. Hopefully when they fully develop Blogger Beta there won't be any short outcome anymore.

Yah...yah...I'm complaining about a free service, I know..Sorry...(^.^) he he he...I also found something nice inside Beta. Now you can categorize you post inside Beta...Nice huh...Its old news you say. Nah... It doesn't matter...Thank you Blogger
