2009

I’ve been promising to myself to start blogging again. At first I wanted to start of with a new blog and a new identity. But that would take a lot of time and effort which I don’t have much anymore. Work is work but getting old is one thing. It seems that when you start to reach the big 30, every second counts and you want it to pass without any regret. Wish me luck. I hope I can restart this brain of mind again. See ya!

Why Oh Why?

Ok, I’m moving out from my old place to a new one. First thing first, I want my internet excess transferred over there also. No need to end my internet subscription, just disconnect the telephone line from my old place and connect a new line over the new place. I don’t even have to change my phone number, the customer service told me. RM50 will be charge on my next bill and another RM30 for the technician to transfer the telephone line. Easy isn’t it? Well NOT if it was TM…they **forgot** to connect my jumper. Why am I not surprise…*sigh*

Why are you making scratch mark on my car bumper?

I went to TMPoint Bayan Baru next to Sunshine Square today for some unresolved matter (you know how they work…slowly…). Anyway while I was trying to park my car, a young chap came out off no where and started fiddling around the car front bumper. He acted like he owns the car and frantically trying to rub something off. He was wearing a red shirt and was holding this peculiar black office bag.

I went to confront him as to why he was touching my property. To my annoyance, he was trying to promote some aerosol polishing stuff that I don’t want. He was fiddling with my front bumper because there was a small 5cm scratch mark on it and he wanted to demonstrate how ‘powerful’ his product was. Being late already, I scuffed away telling him that I wasn’t interested. It was a big mistake leaving the car unintended…

After going to TMPoint and taking my lunch, I went back to inspect the small scratch mark that the young chap had showed me earlier. AND BEHOLD…the small scratch mark that was originally 5cm diagonally has grown to a 15cm long scratch with some artistic stroke. It was man made and I suspected the young chap happily added it for me free of charge.

Luckily for me, the scratch can be removed easily by waxing it a bit.

So be careful when parking around the area. It wasn’t a deep scratch but who wants a stranger scratching your car just for the sake of showing off how great his product is? Let say his product wasn’t that powerful at all, what would you do?

Spray Can Shampoo?

I use my shaving cream to wash my hair last night. It read on the spray can...'with Aloe Vera'. Since shampoo usually have Aloe Vera, I went for it.

Well the smell was ok, a lot more refreshing than shampoo. Oh, and my hair is softer than usual. Why isn't there any spray can shampoo out there? Just open, spray the cream out and you are on your way to a smooth silky hair.

Anyway I would not recommend anyone washing their hair with shaving cream. But if you want to shave your head bald, then go ahead.

On a more serious matter, this Saturday will be the day that we Malaysian stamp our authority and make our voice heard. Ask yourself sincerely and choose wisely. Another four years is a long time to wait.

PS: Remember my creepy post, well I manage to locate the source. Will post it latter ok.

Creepy...x2

It happened again last night. I swear this time I heard knocking on the door and my left leg being push. I was half asleep but I felt it. I did turn on the webcam but nothing major, it was dark actually and I cannot see anything. I just wish that I had a microphone, at least I can verify the knocking sound. I chicken out and turn my table light on around 3:00am. I need to sleep, I have work in the office to finish. Damn!

Creepy...

I cannot sleep last night. I felt like someone or something was watching me. Usually I just shrug it of but it was different this time. My bedroom was colder than usual and it did not rain yesterday evening. Ghost fanatics believe that spirit/ghost presence would alter the temperature around it. Tonight I will leave the webcam on and record whatever it was. This is just creepy…

Spare Tyres

I remember the old days when spare car tyres are the same size as the normal tyre use by the car. Nowadays car maker tend to make the spare tyre thinner and a little bit smaller. I don’t know whether they do it on purposed to save cost but I heard that it’s for safety reason. Ironically, replacing punctured tyre manually sometimes render the tyre unbalanced. This will either make the spare tyre’s life span short or even making it dangerous to drive…I think they just want to save cost.

I had a punctured tyre last August but was reluctant to post about it (lazy). I just had my tyres balanced the other day when it happened. At first I thought it was the lousy workmanship of the guy who did the balancing but it was not. Some a**hole had left a big nail on the road and it happily struck my tyre…bummer. Why do people like to throw nails on the road sides???
I replace the punctured tyre with the spare one by the road side. My fiancée was my cheerleader during the whole process. I thought that Kelisa’s spare tyre was the same but I was wrong. Nobody bothered to tell me during the time me and my fiancée purchase the car that the spare/emergency tyre was indeed smaller the rest.

Fortunately I went to the tyre shop near Sg2 USM and got the punctured one fix. I was thinking of leaving the spare tyre on since the punctured one was kind of “botak”. Luckily the person in charge told me that it wasn’t possible and that the spare tyre was smaller. Persistently I ask why? It looks the same anyway. The guy calmly showed me the numbering on the tyre. The spare one was 155 and the one that got punctured was 163. The spare tyre can’t even be fitted with the tyre cap.

So folks, don’t use your spare tyre to long. Get the punctured one fix. I saw some Kelisa’s on the road using their spare tyre every day. It’s dangerous and it will shorten the life span of your other good tyres also.

Update: Replace all 4 rubber last week. It was kinda "botak" already.

Hell Parking

The place that I’m renting now has a critical parking situation. It all started when the management ask us to replace the old car sticker to a new one (fugly). I have changed mind and the problem is some of the others have not and the security guard is confused and letting them in without really checking whether they are still renting there.

It got even worst when the security guards management hired new personals. The new guys are so stupid that they even let in those without sticker. Ask why they are not doing their job, one of them even have the courage to tell my fiancée that there were residents car who have not managed to get the new stickers and ask us to park outside. I don’t know where these guys are from but they are sure lazy and stupid. I myself can show you which car doesn’t have the right to park inside.

Today, people who have new stickers have to fight for parking spaces with those who have “expired” stickers and also those who “tak tahu malu” people who say that they a residents there when they are not. Plus that with retarded security guard who sleeps on the job, you get piss off people who just park their car anywhere they want.
There is a simple solution for all this trouble, change the dumb ass security guard and let professional ones blast those idiotic care owners who are still in love with their expired car stickers and also those faggots who forgotten where they live and have the nerve to park on other peoples parking lot.

I hope that the management solves this problem soon. I’m getting tired of going around the parking lot looking for an empty lot. To add to the pain, the stupid security guards presented me with a pink “Do Not Park Here” letter pasted on the rear car window. I had to peel it off slowly…bastards!

An Ape Jungle

There use to be a jungle where an ape like me can run and hide from everything. It’s a great relief when you need time to think and recuperate after a day of being chased by angry farmers. Being the ape that I am, I tend to create more problems that solving it. Let’s just say that this reaffirmed my status as an ape.

But now after 1 year, there is no place for me to go and hide myself anymore. The jungles that use to be green a thick is now levelled to a pathetic bush that can’t even hide my reddish behind from harm. Angry farmers are after me, they are shouting aloud demanding to revenge their banana that was reduced to a peel by me. It’s not my fault, it’s your fault you farmers. Wasn’t it you who burn the green away. Wasn’t it you who planted the banana tree to replace the jungle. I thought it was for me, the banana I mean.

I’m trapped in this small corner of life. My life as an ape is in the hand of those who has taken away my precious jungle. Farmers! I hate you! You tie me on the neck. You force me to renounced my wildly behaviour. You domesticated me to a low life coconut plucking ape. I hate coconut! It’s not yellow!

When the moon shines, I ask myself again and again. Should I run? This is not life, this is hell. But where can I run to? The jungle is no more and there’s only concrete to welcome me if I go. An ape like me can’t make it in there. Those metal monsters would squash me to death. But I don’t want to stay here, I want to be free. I want to blog and blogging I have been. Happy belated birthday you ape, where ever you are inside my head...

Whatever...

Will it be the same? I don’t know? Maybe all our questions about tomorrow lay in us to answer. So far it isn’t easy at all. We argue, but after that we just continue with our life as usual. I got used to it, aren’t we all?

The more I step forward; the more I see the bad in me. I didn’t choose it to be this way. It came with time and I just let it take over. Maybe I’m destined to be the person I am, a life script waiting to be shoot.

It’s almost one year and I’m back here again, the point where it all started. Not much has change. It’s just dusty and such…

The Dream

I need help…can anyone enlighten me a bit? I’ve been bombarded with the same kind of dream for a while now…It doesn’t always come in a perfect carbon copy shape every time, but it has the same message tuck in it… Here’s the variation of the dream that I’ve been having…

1. I suddenly realise that I haven’t been studying a single thing and there is an exam tomorrow.
2. I woke up late for my exam…
3. My assignment due date is near but I haven’t done anything…I can’t even remember what I’m suppose to do.
4. I forgot to submit my presentation…

It’s all about me being late for something and it’s always got to do with me during my Uni days…

Life Is...

My eyes are hurting from too much mp3…I think it’s the headphones. Anyway…what do you know…another post for August….huh!? That was very fast… oh no...another month down the drain…well?

I like the smell of hamsters…I’m “addicted” to it…scoope the little buggers in my hands and sniff a bit…maybe it’s the sunflower seed (kuaci)…but then again…it’s just plain old hamster BO…ok that’s enough…

I’m trying my best to live a “Simple Life”. Cutting cost here and there…It’s kinda boring when you have to cut down on your outings…must be strong…cut cost on everything…but still it’s not enough…taking so much time…my life is…work…eat…work…eat…sleep…everyday…I think I’ll just make an excuse (buy kuaci for hamsters) and go out a bit…

Blerrgh!

I needed some fresh air to clear off my mind from work and this unintended blog of mind... I need to do something else productive at least…and maybe lose some weight in the process. I can’t fit into my fav jeans anymore…dang! Everything is falling down the hill…my health, my work (passion)….except for my relationship…Its growing everyday…

I started walking up to my apartment bypassing the lift for some cheap thrills…who needs a “Fitness First” when you can get a 17th story staircase work out everyday for free (I’m tempted to go all the way up)…my wallet is bleeding dry anyway.

I haven’t been downloading my usual anime suspect…the broadband line was on snail mode again. Right now I’m looking forward on setting a low cost downloading server at home. All those years of collecting computer junk will finally do something good…I hope…wish that I can do something with the broadband…heck!

That’s my August post for now…

My sleeping position, what's yours?

I like to sleep…who doesn't? I have my own position when I fall asleep and it isn't like sleeping beauty at all…more like an ogre I think. I can't sleep without placing my blanket over my head to cover my eye. I sleep on my side and I bend one of my knees while snoring with my mouth open…ugly huh. You should hear me snore…only then you'll appreciate the silence of the night.

A small step for Malaysian football (Malaysia 0 Iran 2)

We didn’t win the game last night…but boy was it good to watch. For once I enjoyed seeing Ali Karimi “complaining” at the non stop leg chopping by our defenders. I think that he was kind of scared looking at the way our boys tackling their player one by one. I particularly don’t easily give out credits to any Malaysian footballer, but I saw some brilliance in Shukor Adan…he played his heart out without fear.

The Iranian players were a bit faze because they didn’t expect resistance in the shape of a Malaysian football team. Who wouldn’t…just look at our match records; we are not up to par with the other teams. Nevertheless after last night, the Iranian players would think twice…some of them where close to loosing their head…. I think some of them still feel the pain today.

It was a bold decision by the coach (Norizan) to field 6 defenders. Defending hard and always pressing the Iranians forward to make error…it could have finish better but at least with this kind of playing style, we could scare the hell out of any team. The intimidating way of defending looks to suite our players well. I think we should start building a team based on heavy tackling and built a reputation as the most aggressive team in Asia first. If we can’t be the best then we surely can be the baddest of all (not worst ok). I just wish that we can find a striker with the caliber of the late Mokhtar Dahari. Only then we can have a team with aggressive tackling and deadly counter attacks…that would be a dream come true.

PS: It was a rare sight but our keeper (Azizon) did a good job also.

It's time.

There's a reason for everything in this world. Like it or not, every positive thing tend to create something negative. That's life…day and night. It's the only way the world tick…sometimes.

Do you believe in destiny? Do you feel like you're here for something?

Now that we don't have any chance in the Asian Cup, would our player throw the towel and give up? Will you...No! It's now or never!

So Be It.

What can the players, coach and FAM do in this short period time to bring back our pride? With time ticking fast, Iran can't wait to play us this Wednesday. It's their chance to make it into the second round…a written fact that our team is going to be molested again for the third time.

The ball is round and anything can happen…unfortunately not for us. I don't know why are we cursed in such a way. We are the laughing stock of the whole world now. If this country of ours was Colombia, we would have had a new team and coach after the first game. It's just plain disgusting; the way our boys played the game. You are playing for Malaysia for sake…I doubt that you don't even have problems to go to sleep after the game.

So what can you do dear players? Coach any idea?

Malaysia Vs Uzbekistan (No Live Match On RTM)

They are not going to show any live telecast of Malaysia going against Uzbekistan this afternoon on al-chepo TV channel. Yup, RTM won't be showing it…you can check it on the newspaper (I hope I'm wrong about this). For all I know, only ESPN (81) have it on their schedule. I want to see our team on local TV channel…and they say support our national team…right!?

The kick off time should be around 6:20pm today and it should be an interesting match for us. After China molested as last time, we should be able to try to defend ourselves this time around. I can't imagine another big spanking for us anymore. It's embarrassing for the country.

I'm not going to turn my back on the team…I never did. I'm not going to go and supports the Uzbekistan team when were down to a couple of goal. I just wish that our team understand that a lot of us supporters will still be by their side after countless of disappointment. I just wish the can win it today.
Good luck boys…

Vista After 4 Month

I've been using Windows Vista for almost 4 month now. It was somewhat fun in the beginning but now I'm bored. Besides the eye candy, there's nothing much I can say about it. You feel like it lacks something. Maybe it's just me and my high expectations or maybe not. Here are some bad and good things about Vista from my personal experience.

The Bad

1. There is no progress indicator when you defrag your hardisk. You are left guessing and at the end of the day, you would just cancel the whole process because you feel stupid.

2. Whenever your transfer files, it automatically try to calculate how long the transfer time is and it takes more time in doing so.

3. The extra bucks you pay for the “Ultimate” version will ultimately go down the drain because you only get 1 extra game, a few nice language pack, security whatever and the ability to use video clips as your wallpaper. The later slows down your PC. I know this because I was duped in buying this version.

4. Lots and lots of free security patches from Microsoft that it has become a routine for me to let the computer update itself before I use it. That's about 10 to 15 minutes of my life.

5. Forget about using ReadyBoost. It only improve you system a “little bit” and the protruding USB stick is a hazard for children and also grown man.

6. You maybe have to buy a new computer in order to use Vista.

7. Windows Vista Service Pack 1 release is taking a long time.

8. I forgot what DirectX 10 was supposed to do…

9. Drivers, drivers and drivers…

The Good

1. Aero user interface look stunning.

2. Windows Vista Flip 3D.

3. The new icons. I like it when you can resize it to giant size icons and see a preview of what's inside.

4. Internet Explorer is simpler and I can open new tab just like Firefox.

5. It feels like Windows XP Professional a bit…if that is a good thing.

6. I still can use some old software and games. Example: EA Sports Football Manager 2002

7. Windows DVD burning…at last.

I just wish that SP1 can erase/improve those small annoying things in Vista…hopefully. I heard some rumors about a new operating system from Microsoft called Windows Seven (Windows 7)…

PS: Remember the formula I was talking about yesterday? I think, I'll tell you about it tomorrow…it's too early.
