2009

I’ve been promising to myself to start blogging again. At first I wanted to start of with a new blog and a new identity. But that would take a lot of time and effort which I don’t have much anymore. Work is work but getting old is one thing. It seems that when you start to reach the big 30, every second counts and you want it to pass without any regret. Wish me luck. I hope I can restart this brain of mind again. See ya!

Why are you making scratch mark on my car bumper?

I went to TMPoint Bayan Baru next to Sunshine Square today for some unresolved matter (you know how they work…slowly…). Anyway while I was trying to park my car, a young chap came out off no where and started fiddling around the car front bumper. He acted like he owns the car and frantically trying to rub something off. He was wearing a red shirt and was holding this peculiar black office bag.

I went to confront him as to why he was touching my property. To my annoyance, he was trying to promote some aerosol polishing stuff that I don’t want. He was fiddling with my front bumper because there was a small 5cm scratch mark on it and he wanted to demonstrate how ‘powerful’ his product was. Being late already, I scuffed away telling him that I wasn’t interested. It was a big mistake leaving the car unintended…

After going to TMPoint and taking my lunch, I went back to inspect the small scratch mark that the young chap had showed me earlier. AND BEHOLD…the small scratch mark that was originally 5cm diagonally has grown to a 15cm long scratch with some artistic stroke. It was man made and I suspected the young chap happily added it for me free of charge.

Luckily for me, the scratch can be removed easily by waxing it a bit.

So be careful when parking around the area. It wasn’t a deep scratch but who wants a stranger scratching your car just for the sake of showing off how great his product is? Let say his product wasn’t that powerful at all, what would you do?

Creepy...x2

It happened again last night. I swear this time I heard knocking on the door and my left leg being push. I was half asleep but I felt it. I did turn on the webcam but nothing major, it was dark actually and I cannot see anything. I just wish that I had a microphone, at least I can verify the knocking sound. I chicken out and turn my table light on around 3:00am. I need to sleep, I have work in the office to finish. Damn!

Creepy...

I cannot sleep last night. I felt like someone or something was watching me. Usually I just shrug it of but it was different this time. My bedroom was colder than usual and it did not rain yesterday evening. Ghost fanatics believe that spirit/ghost presence would alter the temperature around it. Tonight I will leave the webcam on and record whatever it was. This is just creepy…

The Funds Are In (PayPal)

I have successfully transferred my PayPal funds into my Citibank Visa credit card. The whole process took about 4 days to complete and it’s a good thing considering that PayPal estimated the whole process would take about 5 to 7 days to clear.

On Tuesday, I made a request to withdraw USD371.00 from my PayPal account to my Citibank Visa. Note that the credit card that I’m using is already verified by PayPal.

I don’t know how long it would take a non verified credit card to process but you still can withdraw using one. One more thing to remember, your credit card would offset any outstanding balance that you owed them with the funds that are going in.

Yesterday PayPal completed the process from their side and all I have to do is to wait for Citibank to credit the funds in. I thought it was going to be next week. But then again…

Today when I went in Citibank Online, I was greeted by the funds credited in my credit card accounts. They credited in RM1262.99 from the USD371.00 that I have transfer. That’s about the same exchange rate that the current rate the market is using.

You can always Google to find out the rate.

PS: I don’t know yet what I should do with extra funds in hand. I had always wanted an iPod. That’s the main reason why I did paid reviews. The iPod touch is here, maybe I should get one…

Withdrawal Completed (PayPal)

From PayPal side, my withdrawal request has been completed. It took PayPal about 3 days to process the transfer to my verified credit card.

I then went to Citibank Online to confirm whether the funds where in or not. As of 9:24am this morning, there is yet any indication of the transfer. Maybe it will take a while for Citibank Malaysia to process the transfer.

Fingers Crossed (PayPal)

I just confirm my PayPal withdrawal request this morning. It’s not much but I don’t want it to stay inside the account any longer. I had it since March this year and left it there because I believe sooner or later PayPal would open up, and they did.

PayPal said that it would take about 5 to 7 days to process. I have waited until now and I don't mind waiting a little bit more. Hopefully Citibank Malaysia would approve the transfer without any problem. As for the exchange rate, I’m not that very sure at all. If you refer to the internet, the exchange rate would be around (USD1.00 = RM3.41). But that also depends on the bank as they would go for the lowest rate they can go…I think. I just hope it wouldn't be lower then RM3.20.

PS: I will update again on this matter soon.

An Ape Jungle

There use to be a jungle where an ape like me can run and hide from everything. It’s a great relief when you need time to think and recuperate after a day of being chased by angry farmers. Being the ape that I am, I tend to create more problems that solving it. Let’s just say that this reaffirmed my status as an ape.

But now after 1 year, there is no place for me to go and hide myself anymore. The jungles that use to be green a thick is now levelled to a pathetic bush that can’t even hide my reddish behind from harm. Angry farmers are after me, they are shouting aloud demanding to revenge their banana that was reduced to a peel by me. It’s not my fault, it’s your fault you farmers. Wasn’t it you who burn the green away. Wasn’t it you who planted the banana tree to replace the jungle. I thought it was for me, the banana I mean.

I’m trapped in this small corner of life. My life as an ape is in the hand of those who has taken away my precious jungle. Farmers! I hate you! You tie me on the neck. You force me to renounced my wildly behaviour. You domesticated me to a low life coconut plucking ape. I hate coconut! It’s not yellow!

When the moon shines, I ask myself again and again. Should I run? This is not life, this is hell. But where can I run to? The jungle is no more and there’s only concrete to welcome me if I go. An ape like me can’t make it in there. Those metal monsters would squash me to death. But I don’t want to stay here, I want to be free. I want to blog and blogging I have been. Happy belated birthday you ape, where ever you are inside my head...

The Dream

I need help…can anyone enlighten me a bit? I’ve been bombarded with the same kind of dream for a while now…It doesn’t always come in a perfect carbon copy shape every time, but it has the same message tuck in it… Here’s the variation of the dream that I’ve been having…

1. I suddenly realise that I haven’t been studying a single thing and there is an exam tomorrow.
2. I woke up late for my exam…
3. My assignment due date is near but I haven’t done anything…I can’t even remember what I’m suppose to do.
4. I forgot to submit my presentation…

It’s all about me being late for something and it’s always got to do with me during my Uni days…

My sleeping position, what's yours?

I like to sleep…who doesn't? I have my own position when I fall asleep and it isn't like sleeping beauty at all…more like an ogre I think. I can't sleep without placing my blanket over my head to cover my eye. I sleep on my side and I bend one of my knees while snoring with my mouth open…ugly huh. You should hear me snore…only then you'll appreciate the silence of the night.

Tak Lawa Tak Apa, Janji Baik Hati

It's going to rain again this afternoon. So much for our meteorological department's forecast early this year. For all I know they didn't even manage to predict the heavy rains that flooded Johor last December. They only woke up when it was too late and ironically, they predicted a drought that was supposed to have started this month…ya right. The bomoh that they were courting with must have been a B class typed…and underpaid.

Enough about the weather already, let's talk about desperate men…not the one on TV ok. I'm talking about men… I hope that you get the right… How many of you out there who is desperate enough to do this in real life? This guy must have been really desperate I guess. Just to show what you can find here in Malaysia...yikes!

PS: Don't know whether this guy manage to find anyone who is “Baik Hati” enough for him.

After 25 Years

You must love these guys so much. There play like there is no tomorrow. They played an attacking game without thinking too much, pure instinct and a blast to see them play. Just got me thinking, how much energy do they have inside them? From the look of it, it seems that they have a nuclear power plant built inside them. Congratulation on winning the All-England guys! And for the coach, thank you very much…

Oh Wait! It's Friday Again

It is Friday already, seems that times flies so fast that a week feel like a day. When you like your job so much you tend to lose a grip of time. It is not wrong to do so; it's a good thing anyway. I won't say much today. I just want to wish you all a happy weekend and for those who are going to the “Together Gather”…enjoy your night…I envy you all…

Tremors

The apartment where I rent is on the 17th floor. If the lift went down it would take about 10 minutes to get down the staircase and triple that time to climb back (for a normal healthy person). Unfortunately for me, going down would take about 12 minutes…while climbing up…well, it’s not that possible for me…normally I would run out of breath on the 7th floor.

I heard about the tremors in KL caused by the earthquakes in Sumatra this morning. Scary isn’t it…especially when you are working in a tall office building. One thing about tremors is that you won’t notice it at first. You will feel dizzy at first before you realize the shaking. By the time your officemates or friends ask about it, only then you’ll realize that it was a tremor. Imagine if it was a real earthquake…you won’t even have the time to think about it at all.

It was last year when I first got the chance to taste what a tremor feel like. I was scared that I didn’t sleep well for 2 days. It was around midnight when it struck. At first I though that I was having headache. Walking straight was a problem and I almost lost my balance. The first thing that comes into my mind was food poisoning. I once had food poisoning and it felt almost…dizzy. That is when I realize that the whole building was shaking. You can confirm this by looking at your open doors. I was shaking heavily.

Me and my housemates didn’t think much and ran to the nearest staircase. It was damn scary…making my way down the staircase I felt the whole building shake. I was praying alright…It was the only thing that I can do. By the time we all reach the car park. The whole incident has stopped already. We only went back to the apartment 1hour later. I didn’t sleep after that night.

PS: Is there any gadget that can be set onto detect tremors?
